Our bicycles
Customizable in every detail in authentic Made in Italy style and crafted with the utmost care, our bicycles are unique creations designed to satisfy those who make beauty and attention to detail the foundations of their lifestyle.
Italian Taurus bicycles are made with steel frames, using the brazing technique that joins tubes and lugs, solidifying the two pieces in an indissoluble manner. Steel has always been considered the reference material for frame construction due to its characteristics of resistance and impact elasticity. All our frames are handmade, one by one, by excellent craftsmen who dedicate all the necessary time and their expertise to creating excellent quality products.
This quality is evident not only from the perspective of components but also from the clean and essential aesthetics of the lines and details, which make Italian Taurus bicycles recognizable among a thousand.
Our Story
The beginning
Founded by engineers Vittorio and Umberto Fabbri, Taurus is completely manufactured in Italy, in the Milan factory located in the Vigorelli area.
The Taurus models immediately stand out for their quality and elegance, distinguished by highly distinctive technical features, such as the rod brakes and curved pedals characterised by the typical six blocks, considered the hallmark of the most luxurious and avant-garde models of the time.
The success
The 1940s and 1950s heralded the definitive success of the Taurus, whose creations became renowned for their elegance, essentiality and durability.
The first historic shop in Milan, located in Piazza della Repubblica, is joined in 1945 by the new shop in Via Maiocchi. Taurus becomes synonymous with travelling luxury.
In the mid-1950s, the Fabbri brothers sold the company and the brand name to Mr Fassi, who had already been making bicycles for decades. These were the years of the economic boom and Taurus expanded its offerings, also dedicating itself to the production of motorbikes and moving production to the Vanzaghello factory.
